Field GuideScavenging
Scavenging
The city provides, reluctantly.
GM sets the died6 → d20
The loot die
The GM sets the die (d6 / d8 / d10 / d12 / d20) by how good the location is. A dumpster behind a restaurant and a locked skip are not the same dig.
A smaller die does not just narrow the odds, it caps them: the good rows on every table sit at the top of the d20, and a d6 dig cannot reach them.
What you can pull
- Weapons d20Eighteen ways to hit something, rolled on a d20. Melee, ranged, thrown, and one bear trap you have to set first.
- Tools d20Twelve bits of junk that do something other than hit. Rolled on a d20 when you scavenge.
- Food d6Three things you can eat to heal, rolled on a d6. Everything else you swallow is a gamble.
- Consumables d20The things you shouldn't put in your body, plus a few you should. Rolled on a d20.
Armour andProfane Passages come off their own tables — a nest hands those out at creation.
